Thailand's Department of Export Promotion is functioned as the planner of policy recommendations and action plans on issues related to trade and marketing. The Department thus provides strategic directions and measures for promoting Thailand’s export.

The Department also plays the important role in providing Thai manufacturers and exporters as well as foreign importers with trade information services and to strengthen the role of information technology in Thailand’s export promotion by utilizing the media and public relations as a mechanism for promoting Thai products.
